How long should a roof last?

Lifespan depends on material, installation quality, ventilation, weather exposure and maintenance. During inspection, we look for signs that the roof is aging normally versus failing early.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Many residential replacements are completed quickly, but access, weather, roof size, material and decking repairs can affect timing. SummitShield gives a schedule expectation with the written scope.

Do I need a full replacement if the roof leaks?

Not always. Some leaks come from flashing, penetrations, storm damage or isolated wear. We inspect first so the recommendation fits the actual condition.

Can you help with storm insurance claims?

We can inspect, photograph visible damage and prepare repair documentation. We do not promise claim approval or interpret policy coverage.

Are gutters part of roof maintenance?

Yes. Clogged, undersized or poorly pitched gutters can push water where it does not belong. We often review gutters during roof inspections because drainage affects roof performance.

Does roof cleaning matter?

In many cases, yes. Debris, organic growth and blocked valleys can trap moisture. Cleaning recommendations depend on roof material and condition; aggressive cleaning can damage the surface if done incorrectly.
